Simply the nicest soap you'll ever use. Handmade in Belton, Missouri. |
100% real, 0% artificial
My soap is made of high-quality natural ingredients. I don't use any artificial fragrances, colors or preservatives, and my oils are all from plants, not animals. It's made at home using the real "hot process," not a kit from a hobby store. Your skin shouldn't have to settle for anything less.
Perfect for giving — or keeping for yourself
Each bar is elegantly wrapped and has a complete list of ingredients on the back. Each one would be a great gift for a friend or family member or a luxurious treat for yourself. Either way, this soap is meant to be used and enjoyed, not just looked at.
Affordable luxury
Real, quality soap is so much better than what you see at the grocery store, but my soap is priced for everyday use. Each big, hand-cut bar is about 5 ounces, usually more, but never less than 4.8 ounces. With reasonable prices and discount shipping, you can lather up without washing money down the drain.
Where did real soap go?
Not very long ago, everyone used real soap. During World War II, the ingredients to make soap were in short supply, so industrial byproducts were substituted as detergents. When the war was over, manufacturers kept using the less expensive detergents instead of switching back to the real thing.
Lye, no lie
You'll see that my soap contains lye. If you're like me, you've read stories about grandma's lye soap and how it could be harsh on your skin. But grandma didn't have the technology at hand to make sure the ingredients were balanced out properly. My soap is pH balanced so it's gentle on your skin. The bottom line: if it doesn't have lye, it's not real soap. (Lye is also called "sodium hydroxide." If you see a list of ingredients that includes "saponified oils," that means it has lye.)
Satisfaction guaranteed
I'm sure you'll like my soap. But if you get some and decide it's not what you want, just send the unused part back to me and I'll refund your money, no questions asked.
Buy it in person
If you live in the Kansas City area, you can buy my soap at Sweet Meadows in Raymore or at the Belton farmers market (during the summer). You can also find my soap at The Brighter Side of Life in Torrington, Wyoming and Homestyle Mercantile in Mulberry, Arkansas.
